Privacy policy
Astro AI is an AI-powered Vedic astrology app published by BuildXYZ. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@delta-x.xyz.
Information we collect
- Profile information you enter: name, birth date, birth time or time range, birthplace and its coordinates, and relationship labels for profiles you save.
- Your questions, AI replies, conversation history, calculated chart information, answer reports and feedback, language preferences, and chat-credit history.
- If you register, your email address and a securely hashed password. Guest users receive a random account and session identifier. The app also sends your phone's app-specific device identifier (the Android ID on Android, the identifier for vendor on iPhone) so that welcome chats are given once per phone.
- Technical service records, such as request times, IP addresses, errors and AI tool activity, needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.
Birthplace is the place you enter or select; the app does not request your live GPS location. Only enter another person's details if you have permission. Avoid sharing information that is not needed for your question.
How we use information
We use this information to calculate charts, answer questions, remember your conversation, manage access and credits, investigate reported answers, and maintain the service. Your chat is with an AI, not a human astrologer. Authorized service operators may review conversations and technical records to investigate feedback, errors or support requests.
Service providers
Our servers and database run on Amazon Web Services in Sweden. Questions, relevant conversation history, profile and chart information are sent to OpenAI to generate replies. These providers may process information in other countries. We use encrypted HTTPS connections. OpenAI requests use the API's store=false setting; this does not guarantee that the provider retains no data.
See OpenAI's privacy policy and AWS's privacy notice for their practices.
Google Play processes Android chat-pack purchases. We send it a pseudonymous account identifier and verify purchase tokens with Google before adding chats. Where enabled and eligible, you may instead choose Razorpay. Razorpay receives your account email, your saved self-profile name when available, and purchase details. For Indian alternative billing, we also collect your billing state or union territory and report the transaction, tax and refund details to Google. We do not collect a street address in the app.
We store provider purchase tokens, payment-link/order/payment IDs, amounts, payment status, refunds and chats added. Payment credentials are entered directly with the selected processor and are not stored by Astro AI. See Google's privacy policy and Razorpay's privacy policy.
We may disclose information when required by law.
Usage analytics and error reporting
We use PostHog in the United States to understand first app launches, screens opened, button actions, account creation, chat outcomes and payment status, and to diagnose software errors. Events use a random identifier before login and an internal account ID after login, along with the app-specific device identifier, app/device versions and technical metadata. We do not include your birth details, chat text, email, password or payment credentials in analytics events. Session recording is disabled. See PostHog's privacy policy.
Android ad measurement and your choices
On Android versions with ad measurement, it is enabled by default without a startup popup. A previously saved in-app opt-out remains off after an update. When measurement is enabled, the Meta (Facebook) SDK sends installation and app-launch events, an app-instance identifier, the Android advertising ID when available and permitted by your device settings, install-referrer information, device and app information, and your IP address to Meta. An IP address can indicate approximate location. Meta uses this information to attribute installs, measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising, and may associate it with information it holds about you from Meta and other apps or websites to personalize and deliver advertising. Meta may process information internationally, including in the United States.
This integration does not send Meta your birth details, profiles, chats, name, email, account ID, purchase history or payment credentials. Automatic purchase logging, advanced matching, suggested events and codeless event collection are disabled. We do not show third-party ads inside Astro AI. See Meta's privacy policy.
To manage ad targeting, use your device and Meta account controls:
- In Android settings, open Privacy → Ads (or Google → All services → Ads, depending on your device) to delete your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization where available. The SDK respects Android's advertising-ID restrictions. See Google's advertising-ID instructions.
- In Facebook or Instagram, open Accounts Center → Ad preferences and review the controls for activity from other businesses or ad partners. These control how Meta uses information from apps and websites for personalized ads. See Meta's guide to managing activity from other businesses.
These controls do not necessarily stop all install or app-launch measurement and do not recall information already sent or in transit. Contact our support address for help with a deletion request concerning advertising data; Meta's own retention and privacy controls also apply.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account data and conversations so you can return to them, until you delete the relevant conversation, profile or account. Account deletion removes the account, saved profiles, conversations, chart records, feedback, sessions and credit history from the live database. We retain payment receipts without their account link to prevent duplicate redemption and complete transaction reporting and refund reconciliation. We also keep the app-specific device identifier, with the date and number of welcome chats it received and no account link, so that deleting an account does not renew the welcome offer. Payment records held by Google and Razorpay are managed separately by those providers.
Manual operational backups may contain earlier copies. There is currently no fixed automatic expiry for these backups, and in-app deletion does not erase them. Technical logs and provider-held records are separate from the live account. Contact us to request help with copies outside the live database; we will explain any records that cannot be deleted and the reason.
Your choices
In the app, open the chat menu and Settings. Choose “Apna data export karein” to export your information, or “Account delete karein” to permanently delete your account. You can also request account and associated data deletion without the app using our account deletion page.
A guest session is stored securely on your phone. Uninstalling the app does not delete its server data and may not erase the device's stored session. If you lose access to a guest account, contact support; we need to verify ownership before changing or deleting someone else's data.
Age and changes
Astro AI is intended for adults aged 18 and above. Contact support if you believe a child has submitted personal information. We may update this policy as the app changes; the date above identifies the current version.
